By popular demand -- Kithikor

As we keep up the Tower farming, and the reality of consistently raiding in UF nears, many Team Dragon members have asked about doubling back and dropping some of the SoD raids between Queen and Kora. So for those looking to best some parallel content ... and those who wanted to get the rk3 from mission completion... Gratz.

Window full of lockouts -- Updated

Update -- a couple of players have asked me to update with a more recent "farming madness" lockout window of TD: ..... Just a quick screenshot to kick off the weekend. Team Dragon's second clear of the Tower of Discord (ok NOW its on farm status) and our first try (and win) on a "hard" version of a Tower event. A nice week's worth of work (and loot).

Tower Toppled

KorafaxAt first, Korafax was just a farm zone that we could drop Pallorax. So on 10/8/2009 Team Dragon started on him. Then he died the first of many times a day later. So about a month later, we decided to see if we could swing Venom Lord? And after 5 nights of attempts, he dropped. So the TD members and brain trust put their heads together and asked,"You know, maybe we are ready to move into the Tower of Discord?" So after the holiday break, on Jan 4, TD started working on the final flagging mob for the tower -- Mindshear. After a grinding 10 nights of attempts and figuring it out, he dropped -- and we were able to flag members for the Tower.Tower of DiscordSo on Feb. 22, TD starts in on the Tower. And the first event, Mindblight, was no picnic. But on March 15, Blight drops. Then on March 22, we beat the Trophy room. Followed by a long stretch of frustration and some backtracking, as we struggle to re-beat Trophy and defat Statis. Then... on May 5.. we get out first Statis win -- and then Team Dragon is a runaway train that cannot be stopped!Tower4 -- May 6... Tower 5 -- May 13... 5.5 Auger -- May 13.. and then... the big, bad Tower 6 and OMM... which we thought would plague us. We give it a first look this Wednesday... then go back on Thursday and....So on Thursday, Tower6 drops... and of course we're going to pay a visit to the boss of the Tower -- Lord Brekt....So we come, we tussle... he wipes us. We regroup, and going through an ENTIRE tank lineup of 9 different tanks... with dps throwing the kitchen sing at him...Tower of Discord, RIP -- May 20, 2010Congrats Team Dragon on a major achievement. Many of us can remember the times we've been working on zones three expansions behind the times. Now, with an eye of course on gearing up the team and farming the Tower, we are looking at working on Underfoot while it is actually an active expansion :>

And Team Dragon continues its push through the Tower of Discord... and found the next event to be no sacrifice. Then to cap the evening, TD went and dropped its first Tower auger.

Seeing through Tower 4

Team Dragon came... it scryed... it conquered... After powering through lots of trash TD visited the fourth tower event Scrying. Torches were lit. Mobs were killed. Born showed us the AE aggro bug is alive and well in Tower. And eventually Team Dragon got its first Tower4 kill (on its first time there).

TD Breaks out of Stasis

With the Anniversary distractions out of the way, Team Dragon started the week with a nice set of Kora and Tower wins, then Wednesday finally got back to the third Tower event: Stasis... In only its second "real" attempt at the encounter, the Curator and his minions were left on the floor. Grats to all on a very nicely executed win... and for powering through a LOT of deaths toward the end there :> Up ahead: Harder trash and the candyland of Tower4 and 5.

Tower 2 -- the Trophy room -- vanquished It may have been a bit zergy at the end, but Team Dragon fought through the adds and trophies, and sent the Curator packing. He can run, but he can't hide from TD!

TD Granted Access to the Tower

Team Dragon Shears the Avatar After diligently working away at it for a couple of weeks, TD finally dropped the five acolytes and their tricky boss the Mindshear Avatar in a marathon hourlong encounter.Grats to all on our first Mindshear kill, and the completion of the last requirement to get into the Tower of Discord. We WILL drop the Avatar once more next week. ALL members need Avatar kills + Tower Key to raid upstairs in Discord. We'll continue to farm keys ad naseum, but after one more Mindshear will be primarily focusing on the Tower.

After a long week of Crystallos, Team Dragon decided to take a break and go pick on someone their own size: Mr. PWith a low dps crew and one long, 28 minute fight, Pallorax the Soul Slayer got a bit of his own medicine. It was only our first time meeting him, and we look forward to more encounters with him.

It really is crazy when you compare the diffrence in difficulty of MMM and Cryst raids. Night 2 saw two encounters in Ice and two encounters in Air. And we did learn in our brief wipe why the second Air encounter is considered tough :>

An overwhelming 54-man freight train of DPS rolled over Meldrath (and overcame some minor mistakes) and culminated in a nearly flawless MM kill.We will of course be repeatedly killing MM to get everyone their "oil" flag drop for Cryst. Last night, after MM, we added to the above lockouts with some quick farming of Queen, BB and BB hard.

CoD/TD database dies -- last backup is Feb 2009

YUP. CoD database died. Backup was from... February. Ugh. That means dkp entries from Feb to present are gone. AND all forums posts from the past 4 months are gone too.For EQ Team Dragon peeps, I have a dkp backup of "current" from June 21, and will be applying adjustments to get everyone from Feb to June 19 levels. Then we will probably re-enter the raids and loots from June 25-28 and this week. Before we start back into MMM next week (July 6-9) we'll get the MM strats back up. And I'll re-post the Warrens strat for this Wednesday's raid (7/1).FUN STUFF

While on a break to let Solteris lockouts reset, Team Dragon went and paid a visit to Big Bynn... and on our first attempt dropped him.Having dropped Solteris Events 4 and 5 last week, and getting a first look at Solt6 Monday, the end encounter of Solteris is within sight. And along the way, Big Bynn was the last flagging mob for MMM raiding for TD to beat.

No Ascension for you!

In our second real attempt at it, Team Dragon completed the Seeds of Destruction raid Stop the Ascension. With a great "emergency" team of Kupac (dragger) and Sinn (rezzer), we got our dead totem group back up and running while the other 7 groups held their Mungos, and got the Totems down. Then moving down to the bottom, great work by our deep Warrior crew, perpetually understaffed healers, and always happy-to-burn dps in twisting up Rottrued and thus getting TD its first notch in the SoD belt.

CoD Vanguard pic of the month!!!

Can we say " Cleric for the Win"

As CoD Vanguard continues to gain steam I figured I would post a nice pic. The event in the above picture is a bottleneck event requireing a lot of skill and effort and correctly balancing your groups to move people through the event on to their reward of a personal griffon mount. In the above pic Bliize was the only person left alive against the Pharoh at 0%. With an entire vent channel screaming " HIT IT" and me over her shoulder she finally managed to hit the attack button and singlehandedly finished him off. Thanks to our friends of Knights of 3305 for taking the pic.

Although Team Dragon had not seen him in awhile, three times tonight was the charm with Aprosis the Fourth Confidant. Two nights working on a mob seems to be our favorite timeframe on hard encounters. And with the recent tweaks on Solt2, we've got a strat that should drop him regularly.

Solteris victory-- quieting the sisters

In our second night of Solteris we finally stopped the conniving and snarky sisters (you would think they had learned their lesson in DP) and had our first victory. That event should be quick and easy now that we've worked out the kinks and gotten a good item turn-in set.We then went on and got a taste of event2, but will make a real run at it Wednesday.Although we were able to just barely support all pigs who came out for the raid, of course if those missing Solt flagging quests could knock them out before Wednesday's Solteris raid... that would be premo!

Updating news from last week, in only our second real attempt at Spindle, we got him to an impressive and frustrating 3% then were overcome by adds. We looked around, and decided we could do better. So we reset and tried him once more, and EVERY aspect of the team showed improvement -- tanking aggro, healing efficiency, dps output and survivability, specialty teams (bombers and levers)... And just like that Team Dragon posted another well earned victory, finishing the trio of Steam Factory. Great job TD.

Our first night in Ashengate North, and we dropped Events 1, 2, 3 and 4 the very first time... and that was including some zerg "accidental" starting of events. Although Lethar ran away, next time through we will not only re-clear AG-N but try the final event (Lethar 2.1) of the zone and (for Team Dragon) the final event of the expansion.
